I finally have the approval to build the decks in the new set-back - the variance drama is done! The crew began the piers on Friday (approval was Thursday night). Material will arrive today for framing.

The lighting control is being installed now - two engineers are here from Ft. Lauderdale programming the system. Power is on and we have air conditioning! Most of the lighting fixtures have been installed and the electricians have only one more day finishing up appliances, etc. I suspect they have been pacing themselves to get a look at the lighting control installation.

I am looking for the elevator this week - the last of the major items. As soon as the hand railing on the deck is completed, we will be able to call for CO inspection and furnish the house.

It has been very hot - the beaches are crowded. There are daily afternoon showers now (the ater Festival was drenched). Dog Days are coming.
