The floor finishers are back as of Thursday. They will be finishing floors all week, which removes any and all other interior personnel from the job.

Interior painting is complete other than touch-up and special items, like the bunk beds and ship lap paneling. The bunks are in but the shelving in the bunk room is not - it will have to wait until the floors are done.

The counter tops went in last week and they are great. We used the OysterStone product I described earlier. It really has turned out nicely and become a focal point in the living room.

The last remaining bathroom tile to be done is the first floor front. It too will have to wait for the floors to be complete. The elevator is on order and expected soon.

On the exterior - the sprinkler system, large trees and sod have been placed. We have to keep water going constantly to counter the heat. The shrubbery will be set out next week.

Glass exterior railing panels went in Friday.

The garage doors are in, water is run to the house and the sewer in connected. The painters will be punching out the exterior this coming week. The last major item on the exterior is the hot tub and decking around it. I will be requesting a variance on the 24th to get permission to build into the set back - a rule that puts all construction fifty feet back of the critical line (basically the top of the dune). We should get the variance as all the other houses on Tarpon are well into the setback, as was the previous home at 444.
