Floor finishing is done!  The painters are doing punchwork now. Plumbers have begun set-out, and the water is on.

The appliances and light fixtures are all on site, ready for installation. Finish carpenters have returned and are completing all the final trim items - door locks, shoe molding, bunk room shelving, theater room shelving, some poplar ship-lap wall paneling I decided to add in the kitchen, etc.  The list seems never ending but it is now no longer growing (much).

The variance request was continued until the next meeting. The frustration with trying to get permission to build into the 50' set back is difficult to describe (I was so certain of approval that I had concrete delivered and a crew scheduled to begin this last Friday morning).  I am confident that we will be granted the variance - however, following the rules is at present an exercise in immobility. For the time being, I will be constructing the hand railing on the decks that are in place for C/O and as soon as I am given permission, I will construct the new decks to avoid any more vacation ‘down time'.

Some of the furniture will start arriving as soon as the painters are complete. The elevator is scheduled for delivery in two weeks.
