The site has been called a ‘beehive of activity’ this week. The driveway pavers and installers arrived (blocking up Tarpon Boulevard with an eighteen wheel tractor/trailer), kicking everyone else out of the yard. We have been parking in all the neighbors’ driveways, and I am grateful that the houses have been unoccupied. I decided to go all brick on the drive and turn-around (as opposed to concrete perimeters). The finish looks very expensive – which follows. We have had three different tile companies setting out the bathrooms. The upstairs marble is being done by a very good company we have used before. The hall bath upstairs and laundry room were worked by a very talented and meticulous individual – too slow to do them all however – and the downstairs bathrooms are being done by a company new to me. The hall bath and laundry room are complete, and pans and backer-board have been set in the other bathrooms, ready for tile next week.
