The insulation inspection was accomplished and sheetrock installation has begun. The ceilings are done and the walls are about 50 % now. We will not have another inspection until we request permanent electrical service, quite a while from now.
The exterior is close to being finished - just a few more handrails to go and the siding and trim can begin to be painted. We will begin primer
coats this week.
Tabby stucco is finished. We also installed the speaker wire for the surround sound in the theater room as well as cable TV coax in the kitchen.
The big door at the screened porch is ready to be shipped as well. Now is the time for the thousands of details that go into finishing to be implemented. The flooring will be bleached white oak. That will go in right after sheetrock but before interior trim.
The weather has been great here - 70's in the day and 40's at night. Spring feels like it has arrived but we know there is plenty of time for another spat of chilly weather. Most of the guys are wearing shorts on the job now - before the no-see-ums arrive.
